How to forward missed calls to LinePilot in the UK

The exact mobile and landline call-divert steps to send unanswered calls to your AI receptionist.

Before you start

You need your LinePilot phone number from the Phone Setup page. Use the full UK number format when possible, including +44, and test the setup from another phone after saving the forwarding rule.

  • Copy your assigned LinePilot number from the dashboard.
  • Keep your own phone as the main number customers call.
  • Only unanswered calls should divert to LinePilot unless you choose otherwise.

UK mobile no-answer forwarding

On most UK mobile networks, dial the no-answer forwarding code below from the phone that currently receives customer calls. The example sends calls to LinePilot if you do not answer within 10 seconds.

  • Replace LINEPILOT_NUMBER with your assigned LinePilot number.
  • The delay can usually be changed to 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 seconds.
  • Some networks call this conditional call forwarding or divert on no reply.
Set no-answer forwarding: **61*LINEPILOT_NUMBER**10#
Check no-answer forwarding: *#61#
Cancel no-answer forwarding: ##61#
Cancel all forwarding: ##002#

UK landline no-reply divert

Many UK landlines use provider call-divert features. BT/Openreach-style lines commonly use the pattern below, but business VoIP and hosted PBX systems may use a web portal instead.

  • Your provider may need to enable call divert before these codes work.
  • Landline no-answer delays are often fixed by the provider.
  • Forwarded calls can be billed by your phone provider.
Set no-reply divert: *61*LINEPILOT_NUMBER#
Check no-reply divert: *#61#
Cancel no-reply divert: #61#

Test the handover

Call your business number from a second phone, let it ring without answering, and wait for the redirect. LinePilot should answer, capture the caller details, and show the call in your dashboard.

  • If the call never reaches LinePilot, check the forwarding code and provider settings.
  • If LinePilot answers too quickly or too late, adjust the mobile delay if your network supports it.
  • Make one test call before relying on the setup for live customers.
